Profile
Professor André Mermoud is a world-renowned ophthalmologist specialized in glaucoma. His international training took him to South Africa, the USA and India. He developed the first glaucoma clinic at Jules Gonin Eye Hospital (University of Lausanne) and later founded private glaucoma centers and the SwissVisio network. He has an extensive career in surgical innovation, research and humanitarian work.

Founder of Swiss Visio International to support VFA; major hospitals created in Rwanda and Senegal; further projects planned in Ivory Coast, Benin, Togo, Egypt, Cameroon and Guinea.
